GOLF BALL CONSTRUCTION

Golf Ball Construction

Multiple Layers, always with a purpose
The two-piece Big Bertha Golf Ball features a firm cover with a low compression core for excellent distance, low dispersion and soft feel. To add more precise control to that equation, engineers introduced three-piece construction golf balls, which offer distance control.

The HX Hot is Callaway Golf’s longest three-piece golf ball, while the HX Pearl offers soft feel with a bit more distance control. The new HX Hot Bite also features three-piece construction. It is designed to generate spin around the green with a soft, thin cover. In order to maintain distance off the tee, the HX Hot Bite has a firm mantle over a medium compression core.

The premium, four-piece Tour i and Tour ix Golf Balls feature dual core construction. The two cores work together to provide low spin off the driver for greater distance down the fairway while still providing great spin around the green.
