Benefits of the Callaway Performance Analysis System (CPAS)
Uses high speed optics to accurately capture club/ball dynamics before, at, and after impact. The captured ball launch conditions are used to simulate the ball flight within our Virtual Test Center software.
CPAS accurately measures an abundant amount of data including, but not limited to: Clubhead speed, ball speed, launch angle, backspin, side angle, side spin, angle of attack and clubhead path.
CPAS is a fully automated measurement System which can measure anything from a Sand Wedge to a Driver without input from the club specialist.
CPAS is proprietary to Callaway Golf, designed by Callaway Golf engineers for use in comparative club analysis and performance evaluations.
The Club specialist and guest can see a visual record of the ball flight as well as accurate impact dynamics.
All measurements are relevant to ball dynamics and the ability to accurately calculate these launch conditions allows the club specialist to make Accurate recommendations based on hard data.
An automated system allows the club specialist to evaluate club performance in an unbiased manner.
This allows us to continuously customize the system to meet our needs as well as test and analyze equipment.
The Virtual Test Center
Callaway Golf’s Virtual Test Center (VTC) enables you to see what your shot would have looked like had it been hit outdoors, on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. This program takes the launch parameters that you create with each shot, and illustrates how that shot would fly as if you were actually on the 18th tee at Pebble Beach. Using this tool, we can compare the ball flight, trajectory and relative distance of each shot. Our evaluation process is extremely efficient as a result of this system. It normally takes approximately 45 minutes for the complete evaluation of both irons and woods. We will start with the irons, using the 6-iron as the evaluation club.
