The 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour i Challenge Official Rules

The 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour i Challenge (“Tour i Challenge”) commences at 12:01 a.m. (PST) on April 1, 2008 and terminates at 11:59 p.m. (PST) on September 30, 2008 (“Challenge Period”).  The following are the Official Rules for the Tour i Challenge.   

How to Participate:  During the Challenge Period, (1) visit www.callawaygolf.com/golfgalaxytour and complete the official entry form; and (2) enter and win a 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour amateur event using a Callaway Golf Tour iX™ or Tour i™ golf ball. 

(1)  On-line Entry:  Visit www.callawaygolf.com/golfgalaxytour and complete the official entry form.  Participants must provide first and last name, a valid email address, phone number and complete address including ZIP code. Upon completion of the form, click the “submit” button to send the entry.  Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (PST) the day prior to the first Qualifying Event (as defined below) in which the individual participates in order to be eligible to win the Prize for that Qualifying Event and any subsequent Qualifying Events in which he/she participates.  Participants need only register on line one time during the Challenge Period.  No automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of entry are permitted and individuals engaging in such practices will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered, provided that person meets all eligibility criteria set forth in these Official Rules.  All entries become the sole property of Callaway Golf and will not be acknowledged or returned; and

(2)  Enter and Win a 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour Event:  Enter and win a 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour amateur event ("Qualifying Event") using a Callaway Golf Tour iX™ or Tour i™ golf ball (list of 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour events located at www.golfgalaxytour.com ).  Participant must play all rounds of the Qualifying Event with a Callaway Golf Tour iX or Tour i golf ball.  The Tour i Challenge winners are defined as the two-person team that wins a Qualifying Event (by shooting the lowest team gross golf score).  Both team members must register on-line as described in section (1) above to be eligible to win the Prize.  Callaway Golf reserves the right to independently verify participant’s use of a Callaway Golf Tour iX or Tour i golf ball, and may disqualify non-complying participants at its own discretion. Callaway Golf is not responsible for the scheduling or cancellation of any Qualifying Event. 

Eligibility:  The Tour i Challenge is only applicable to Qualifying Events held in the United States, excluding Puerto Rico.  These Official Rules shall be construed and evaluated according to United States law and are governed by the laws of the State of California for the resolution of all claims and disputes. Void outside the United States and where prohibited. Individuals who participate in the Tour i Challenge agree to abide by these Official Rules.  Individuals under the age of 18 years of age must have written parental consent to participate in the Tour i Challenge.  Proof of age and residency may be required.  The Tour i Challenge is void where restricted in a manner not satisfied by the publication of these terms and conditions on this website.   

The Prize:  Upon certification as Tour i Challenge winners, each member of the winning two-person team will receive a $250 Golf Galaxy Gift Card (the “Prize”), redeemable in Golf Galaxy stores nationwide.  No substitution of the Prize or transfer of the Prize to a third party is permitted, except by Callaway Golf, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. 

Taxes and duties (where applicable) are the sole responsibility of the Tour i Challenge winner.  All expenses not specified herein, including, but not limited to local, state, or federal taxes on the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Tour i Challenge winner.  Participation in the Tour i Challenge constitutes each participant's agreement to pay all applicable taxes and comply with all laws.

Amateur Status:  It is the sole responsibility of participant to ensure he/she is in compliance with the USGA’s Rules of Amateur Status.  Callaway Golf makes no representations or warranties as to whether participation in the Tour i Challenge or acceptance of any prize is permissible under applicable rules or whether such participation may affect the participant's amateur status.  

Collection of Prize:  The Tour i Challenge winners are subject to verification of ball usage throughout tournament play and must meet all eligibility requirements before the Prize will be awarded.  Prizes shall be awarded to all eligible winners within eight (8) weeks of winning a Qualifying Event.  If the awarded Prize has not been received following the eighth week, send a letter regarding status to:  Callaway Golf Sales Company, 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour i Challenge, 2180 Rutherford Road, Carlsbad, CA 92008. 

Winners’ List: The names of the Tour i Challenge winners will be available after October 6, 2008.  To obtain a list of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped #10 size envelope to: Callaway Golf Sales Company, 2008 Golf Galaxy Tour i Challenge, 2180 Rutherford Road, Carlsbad, CA 92008.

General Terms and Conditions:  To the fullest extent allowed by law, by accepting the Prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name and address and/or likeness for purposes of advertising or trade without additional compensation.  By entering the Tour i Challenge, all participants consent to Callaway Golf’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information to any third party for the purposes of administering the Tour i Challenge and, unless otherwise specified, for consumer research and marketing purposes.  Further, participants who enter the Tour i Challenge specifically authorize Callaway Golf to release personal information to Golf Galaxy.  To the extent permitted by law, upon entering into the Tour i Challenge, each participant agrees to Callaway Golf's use of his/her personal information, as described in its Privacy Policy located at: http://www.callawaygolf.com/Global/en-US/Legal/PrivacyPolicy.htmland its Legal Statement located at http://www.callawaygolf.com/Global/en-US/Legal.html.  

By accepting the Prize, the Tour i Challenge winner releases Callaway Golf Sales Company, its subsidiaries, parent and affiliates, its advertising, judging and promotion agencies, and the respective shareholders, directors, officers, distributors, employees and agencies of all such entities, from all liability arising from or in connection with the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the Prize.  The Tour i Challenge winner acknowledges that neither Callaway Golf nor its agents have made or are in any manner responsible or liable for any representation, guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize awarded herein, including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.

Callaway Golf assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or faulty network connections, whether human or technical in nature. Callaway Golf is not responsible for late, incorrect, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, damaged, or misdirected entries.
