Breaking: Harris English Joins Team Callaway

Jeff Newton

It’s hard to fathom how Harris English can be so poised, so polished, so accomplished, so flat out GOOD at just 24-years-old. He’s one of the best young stars on Tour, and now we’re happy to announce that he’s joined Team Callaway! BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

You can imagine why we’re fired up to have him on our PGA Tour roster. Resumes like this are hard to come by: He was a 4x All-American at the University of Georgia, earned a Nationwide (now Web.com) Tour win as a college amateur in 2011, and two PGA Tour wins during the 2013 calendar year (FedEx St. Jude Classic and the OHL Classic).

He’s already up to 2nd in the current 2013-2014 FedExCup Standings and should be in the mix all year long. If his early feedback is any indication, Harris is locked in and ready to roll.

“I’ve been really happy with the new Callaway clubs. And the team at Callaway has been really fantastic,” he said of working with our Tour Team. “In a short period of time I’ve been able to take advantage of the resources they have and I’m excited about the start of the 2014 season.”

As a Staff Pro, he’ll play Callaway and Odyssey equipment starting this week  at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Welcome to Callaway, Harris! It’s a privilege to have you on our Team!
