HEX Aerodynamics also replace conventional dimples to reduce drag and produce a more penetrating ball flight in various weather conditions. Similar to honeycomb covering a beehive, Callaway’s patented HEX Aerodynamics produce 100% surface area coverage on a golf ball whereas traditional round dimples typically cover only 88% of the surface. Dead space between dimples can cause inefficient flight characteristics so HEX geometries cover the entire ball to reduce drag and cut through air with a strong, penetrating ball flight.
