Danny Willett

PGA European Tour

did you know?

Danny Willett is still in his early 20s, yet his resume on the golf course deserves serious recognition. In June, he earned his first career win in a playoff at the BMW International Open. He finished 23rd on the 2010 European Tour Race to Dubai list behind a second place showing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and a third place run at the Austrian Golf Open. Willett posted five top-5s on the year and averaged just under 299 yards per drive.

Willett's incredible amateur career included wins at the English Amateur Championship and the Yorkshire Amateur Championship in 2007. He also competed in the Walker Cup and became the No. 1 ranked amateur in the world before turning pro. Willett easily passed through European Tour School in 2009 and posted eight top-10s during his rookie season. Willett is the son of a preacher; he enjoys listening to music and shooting pool in his free time.
