Manuel De Los Santos

Legends

did you know?

Manual De Los Santos has proven that a positive attitude and a great swing can go a long way in the game of golf. Born in the Dominican Repulic, De Los Santos was on the fast track to a professional baseball career with the Toronto Blue Jays until he was struck by a car while riding a motorcycle. He came out of a coma four days later to find that his left leg had been amputated above the knee. While living with his wife in Paris, Manuel watched the well-known golf movie “The Legend of Bagger Vance” and became interested in golf. He went to the range the next day and was immediately hooked by the game.

His timing from baseball helped Manuel learn the game and maintain his great balance, and he quickly became a dedicated golfer. He now plays to a 3 handicap and he’s won many tournaments. De Los Santos has also played in the Alfred Dunhill Links, gained media attention for his inspiring story and rubbed elbows with Callaway Staff Pros like Phil Mickelson and Alvaro Quiros. He also uses an Odyssey Putter.
