In his rookie season on the PGA European Tour in 2005, Englishman Oliver Wilson finished in the top-10 three times and secured his card by finishing 97th on the Order of Merit. He nearly had his inaugural win in the second event of 2006, losing in a playoff at the Volvo China Open. In his first season as a professional, Oliver missed just six cuts in 23 rounds. In 2007, Wilson again just missed his first career win when he lost in a playoff at the Johnnie Walker Classic in Thailand. Originally from Mansfield, England, he now lives in Augusta, Georgia, and enjoys movies and sports in his off time. In 2008, Oliver was a member of the European Ryder Cup team and played well at Valhalla. Still looking for his first European Tour win, Oliver came within a whisker on several occasions in 2008, finishing in the runner-up spot on four occasions. In 2009, Oliver finished seventh in the Race to Dubai.
