While most of his contemporaries were retiring, Ely Callaway was just hitting his stride. In his early 60s, he embarked on his third major career, following up successful ventures in textiles and wine by shunning retirement and combining his two biggest passions – business and golf – to create what would become the world's largest maker of premium golf equipment. Ely Callaway wanted to make the game more accessible to and fun for everyone.

You have to create a product that is pleasingly different, and brings an extra measure of satisfaction to the user. If you do that, the selling and merchandising of the product is easy.
