Optimized Aerodynamics For More Distance At Tour-Level Swing Speeds

Here is a simple, game changing fact: The SR 3 has been designed to have the best aerodynamic performance for Tour-level swing speeds of 105mph and above. So yes, if you have that awesome swing speed, we’re talking directly to you. Our HEX pattern is specifically engineered to reduce distance-robbing drag at high speeds to produce long, stable, penetrating ball flight. And that means more distance.

Soft Feel With Tour-level Control

We put in a proprietary soft urethane cover, so SR 3 delivers Tour-level control on shots into and around the green, AND nice, soft feel to boot. That cover was a good call.

Superior Spin Separation Designed For Your Swing Speed

Now we’re REALLY putting your swing speed first. A soft inner core gives you low spin off the driver for long distance off the tee. A firmer outer core gives you higher spin rates for more spin and control, and aggressive stopping power on short irons and wedges. AND...thin inner and outer mantles reduce driver spin, add resiliency, and allow the dual core to unleash powerful ball speeds. So you have what you need for every conceivable shot. That’s the Tour performance in SR spin separation.

Finest Callaway Ball I've ever Played Firstly, I have played nearly every golf ball on the market. From a Top Flite to a Pro V. Working in the golf industry, It is important that I know, first hand, all the products that are out there and how they perform. I believe that this is the only way that I can provide true and honest information. It is important to be both biased and unbiased. What I mean is that a certain product may not work for me, but it will probably work for someone. In this case, this ball works for myself and any other golfer who has gamed a ball of this caliber. Through the years I have liked and disliked many balls, but, in the end I will always play a ProV1X when it matters. This is the first ball that I have found and considered to be my new primary ball. Luckily, I had the opportunity to play this ball over the course of two days when visiting Callaways headquarters. Both rounds I played mattered and I was worried that I might perform a bit worse without my No. 1 ball, the ProV1x. I was wrong. This ball is both soft and long, spins properly, and most importantly for a ball costing ~$50 a dozen, IS DURABLE. More durable than any ball in its class. If you're like myself, and swing in the 105-110 range, tend to overspin wedges and approach shots from ~140yds and in, then this is a ball you should strongly consider and recommend among your piers. In my opinion, if these are some of the golf balls you've played in recent years: ProV1x, Z-Star XV, B-330, NXT Tour, (maybe a lethal, although IMO they're more similar to SR2, but it's the only ball TM offers that could be compared), you should give SR 3 balls a go. Holds it's line. This ball holds it's line almost to a fault. I can take dead aim at the pin and know it's going to be there. The hex pattern almost self corrects any flight flaws i.e. If you try to draw or fade the ball hard then it seems to loop back on original line. Working the ball is more difficult than others. I did get an ace on the fly with this one. TAKE DEAD AIM. June 5, 2014
