Very hot face! Bought this fairway because I love my old 2006 xhot but just wanted some newer technology. Went from my pro shop to the range & warmed up on some irons then started hitting my new x hot n14, & I could tell from the get go that this was special. I did not really have too much time so I left the range before I really got to bond really well. Took it to the course 2 days later & used it off the 1st, a par 4, 387m & bombed it slightly to the right but 270m & only had a gap wedge in. Wow I had never been that far down the fairway before on that hole. I pulled & used it again on a 298m par 4, dog leg L & took it straight over the corner & had a half lob wedge in, amazing!! But those were my two best shots of the day with the 3W because I did struggle a bit with accuracy, spraying it a bit, left then right. So after three months now of owning it, this is my conclusion, This is a bomb of a fairway, it will put you further down the fairway than almost any fairway, but for me the stock shaft/ weight combo is too light. I have since bought a Razr Fit Extreme/ trinity stiff & I am just as far but very straight, & love the feel & weight much better. I will fit a heavier shaft to the X hot to try. But overall the x hot has huge potential, just the shaft/ swing weight combo will need to be tweaked for stronger hitters. July 5, 2014
