Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great club update after 10 years of no golf I recently returned to golfing after 10 years and after joining a local golf club, I realized that all of my equipment was about 15 years old. So I wanted to update my clubs but without spending thousands as my game just doesn't warrant the top of the line (beginner to intermediate golfer). That's when I found the Strata 18 piece set on sale. They had great reviews so I pulled the trigger and I couldn't be happier. I've played 3 rounds so far on them and they are great. Once I dialed in the driver, I've added 30+ yards to my drives and they are board straight. I never got that kind of performance with my old (now seems tiny) driver. The irons are great. I was concerned about losing my beloved cavity-back 5 iron but this kit comes with 4h and 5h hybrids and they added a sand wedge which most budget sets never have. I was skeptical about the hybrids.... right up until I hit them. The first hybrid shot I faced was from a fairway bunker and the 5h just scooped the ball right off the top and was straight as an arrow. Subsequent hybrid shots shared similar success with a high trajectory and super straight flight. I'm now a believer. Putters are very personal so I'll leave out any comment there. The bag is adequate but nothing special. Very light for those walkers (like me). I read the complaints about the white fabric being prone to staining so I treated the new bag with exterior grade ScotchGuard and it's held up well (thru my 3 rounds) so far. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my updated clubs that I spent under $400 for. I vow to update this review if anything goes south.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for your buck After using old Dunlop Diamond Max clubs since high school and an old driver, I bought this set on sale and I have been extremely pleased. Despite the negative reviews, bottom line, you get what you pay for (bag material). I think the hybrids are useless, just couldn't connect and feel comfortable, but the driver and woods are awesome. I feel more comfy with the driver than the Great Big Bertha I purchased which costed more than the whole set. I love these clubs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set for beginners These clubs are really nice for the price. Driver has a big sweet spot, irons and woods all hit true. I don't use the hybrids much, but they are nice to have. Bag isn't the greatest quality, but it's very light.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 broken clubs I had these clubs for 2 weeks and already traded them in. Second hit with my 7 and something started rattling on the inside. my driver head already cracked and dented. While using the 3 doing easy practice shots on the driving range the head flew off, broke on the shaft. And no I did not abuse the clubs. Nice looking clubs but didn't hold up for me anyway.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drivability but irons suck Solid driver wedges and putter , irons hit pure but the more use they got the value showed 6-9 iron heads are gapped and slightly crooked where the shaft meets and I am not the only person to have this sort of issue and that's unfortunate , Great for beginner . Bag and head covers get dirty easily but the bag does the job nice

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stratus Ultimate Golf Club Set I had not upgraded in years and played with my old set of Wilson's and mixed clubs. I am a weekend warrior and my game is steady. I wanted to upgrade to a better set but didn't have the money for that Ping or Callaway dream set. I purchased the Stratus Ultimate Set and I am impressed. With some of my favorite clubs in the bag with the Stratus Set, my game has improved. Distance and that straight shot. I will gladly recommend these clubs as an upgrade to any older set and the value is worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good looking starter set for a complete newbee BUT ... I got this set literally 10 days ago and been at the range maybe 7 days out of the 10. Not a single round of golf yet. I started with the 8 iron which seems to be shorter by about an inch compared to the Taylormade Burner 8 iron. Then progressed to the 6 iron. I must have put about a 160 swings on it and on the last swing the head of the 6-iron sheared right off the shaft and landed 50 yards away. Again only 10 days out of the box and 7 days usage (maybe 4 days usage for the 6- iron), all at the range. Havent even used the woods and wedges yet. Very Very disappointed as i wanted to retain these until i established my swing and then progress to the higher priced Callaway sets....
