Speed Optimized Technology

A lighter club (starting at 290 grams) helps create more clubhead speed and the kind of ball speed that makes the ball go a long way.

Faster swing speeds also come from the aerodynamic shaping that lowers drag through the entire swing. And Forged Composite material in the crown is lighter, leading to maximum clubhead speed.

They’re all crucial for maximum distance in V Series.

Hyper Speed Face

There’s that word “speed” again. Lighter, hotter and more robust, it delivers higher ball speeds across the face so you consistently hammer long drives.

OptiFit Technology

The adjustable hosel lets you choose from a combination of 8 different loft (-1, S, +1, +2) and lie angle (Draw or Neutral) configurations to find your optimized trajectory and shot shape. When you get those right, great drives are sure to follow.

Performance Lightweight Premium Shaft

One more way that we give you more speed in the Big Bertha V Series – an ultra lightweight Mitsubishi Bassara Shaft in the 10.5-degree and 13.5-degree HT heads, and a Fujikura Motore Speeder 565 in the 9-degree head.

LONG !!!! I'm a 51 year old male playing to a 10 HCP. I was fortunate enough to test this driver this weekend and it absolutely lives up to it's billing. I have been clocked at 100mph swing speed and this driver can make anyone longer. It's light and has an amazing feel. It sets up well at address and has a nice solid crack at impact. I easily gained 10+ yards on my drives. Haven't made any adjustments to it yet but it is pretty straight as well. Give this driver a test. August 25, 2014
Perfect follow-up to OptiForce driver. Great feel with matching distance. Well worth the wait and the NEW SOUND Great follow-Up for Callaway. Feels like the best use of Technology to date, with a Super hot face and a great feeling shaft. This driver is great for the 90 Mph swing speeds that need help. Gorgeous looking club with a Solid hitting sound. August 31, 2014
BIG BERTHA SERIES V HEAVENWOOD BELONGS IN EVERY GOLFER'S BAG I purchased the Series V Heavenwood (HWD), 20.5 deg, Senior FLEX, to fill the gap between my 15 deg #3 wood and a Hybrid #4. I'm a senior, age 70 and have played earlier HWDs (20 years ago) and they were very good. The new Series V is a SUPER CLUB, UTILITY/TROUBLE CLUB, which can replace #4-6 woods, long irons #1, 2 & 3 and Hybrids from 18 to 24 degrees! I play 4-5 times a week hold a 5 handicap, and shoot in the low 70's, when I have time for 18 holes. I hit the HWD to lay up with my second, on a par five, expecting 185-195 yards. I normally play Callaway Super Soft balls and was elated when the ball took off high into the air and landed 5 yards short of the pond 25 yds short of the hole. My GOLF BUDDY GPS recorded a 223 yd carry on that shot - WOW! Two holes later, a par 3, 190 yds, into the wind, I hit the HWD 18 inches short of the hole and it landed like I had hit a lob wedge. A few holes later I hit a long drive (247yds) into the ruff, about a foot left of the fairway with 210 yards to the hole. I hit the HWD and it landed 6 feet short of the hole and left me with a 20 inch putt. I made 5 birdies yesterday and attribute 4 of them to my new HWD. I ordered the HWD direct from Callaway (On-Line) and it arrived 5 days later. I will let other golfers hit it, but won't sell it for twice the price. The Heavenwood is a CALLAWAY GRAND SLAM! excellent balance The new v series driver provides excellent balance and exceptional feel thru impact. September 12, 2014
Good for the Mind It helps that the hype for this driver fit my mind-set. It looks right, feels right and the ball goes straight. My fairly new Big Bertha (before this one) kept coming loose at the various adjustments. (Actually one of my longest drives was when the weight thing slid around--is that legal?) I have since bought the other V Series woods. September 11, 2014
