GBB Epic Driver is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This driver is noticabely longer. I play with a group of guys regularly so I know about how far I hit my drive compared to their drives. They all use excellent equipment. For me the Epic driver is consistently 10 to 20 yards longer than my other drivers and it is quite forgiving if you do not hit the center of the clubface.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I was very excited yesterday when my new driver showed up and could not wait until I could take it for a spin. Got to the course a little late so I only got in one drive on the range. Went to the first tee and hit a nice drive down the middle. The second hole was about the same, but the third hole is where my story changed. I hit the drive a little on the heal and the sound changed. I'm thinking OK not the greatest shot, a lot shorter than I was expecting but it was still in the fairway. My surprise was when I was putting my Epic back in the bag, I saw this big crack. The club lasted 4 hits. I must also say that I am 66 years old and only swing about 95mph, so it is not like I over powered it. Not the quality I was expecting. I can say that customer service was very nice and will be sending me a replacement club. Hope the next one last more than 4 strikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible!!!!! I play and teach golf for a living... I can fit myself after 25 years of retail, wholesale and club pro jobs. My R15 to M1 to Epic has allowed me to shelf TaylorMade product. A pre-launch sale at my place in Arizona had us sell 7 of 18 people with reservations. Upon seeing the gain by some of my students, I grabbed a 10.5 Epic set to fade biased with a 75X Rogue. The ball sounded mushy (E6 Bridgestone) so PRO V1 came out and then the numbers rocketed up. 159-167 ball speed 11-15 launch 2200-2700 rpm 280-305 air time. Btw I turn 50 on 3/16... UNBELIEVABLE!!! Good bye M1...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my gamer Recently, I was watching younger players hit drivers at the range and thinking, my time has passed (age 67 and an ailing back)...I'll never be able to keep up. Off to the senior tees for me. But then I hit the Epic 10.5 demo...swing easy old, almost as long as the younger hitters and after the other! After hitting the Epic demo, I ordered my Epic at full list price...something I have never done before. While it's true, one can't really buy a better can buy a better driver and it's called Epic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Told I Have To Move Back I got fitted with the GBB Epic 10.5 with a UST Recoil 440 light shaft. I will be 70 come March and my swing speed and distance has diminished with age. I had been fitted a year ago by this same fitter for a Ping G30 which was a great driver but the Epic gave me 11 more yards and more importantly shrunk my ball dispersion in half according to Trackman. Weather conditions finally allowed me to play my first round with the Epic and in the real world I gained 25 yards or more on several drives due to being able to hit the ball over a hill instead of into it. I hit 11 out 14 fairways and the ones I missed were not that bad. One of the fairways I missed was a bunker that in the past never came into play with my G30. The greatest compliment I received from my playing partners yesterday was, "you are going to have to move back to the white tees" ( I have been playing from the senior tees for the past several months). This is by far the best driver I have ever hit and I have been playing golf for 50 years. All of the hype is real. The key is to find the right shaft/head combo for your swing. Get fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Swing Tried it out in the sim before making the purchase. Hit the Epic 9 degree stiff, stock shaft factory settings. Averaged 255 yards with longest being 274. However, I never hit well in a sim box. Gambled $500 and went straight to the range. I figured out in about 8-10 swings, I didn't have to kill it to get straight consistent shots about 10-15 yards longer than my XR and Xhot pro2. Lighter than any driver I've owned. Feel, feel, feel...Great. Even the range balls on off center hits. The smoother I swung, the straighter the flight and longer the distance. Took it out the next day and got even better results. Looking forward to playing the course this weekend. More to follow...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most solid feel of any new driver I have tested. Epic 10.5 stiff Distance flag was a 256 with the wind into the range. Carried an easy 240 and rolling to 260+. The solid feel has me sold (not a gimmick)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic Sub Zero 9 degree w Diamana Green 40+ A Flex Shaft Set this club up with draw bias and +1 degree loft. Tested it versus new Cobra 7+ and new Mizuno Drivers. I am a senior player (71 years old) and over the last few years have lost considerable distance. The Sub Zero added 10-15 yards for me versus the completion with excellent feel versus the competition. (The 10-15 yards is even more significant when you consider that my drives were only 200 - 210 off the tee.) Now they are averaging around 223 in testing. I am looking forward to purchasing the Sub Zero ASAP.
