X2 Hot Pro Fairway Woods
Where do I start? I guess I'll just give you some background on me and the 3-wood in particular. I've been playing golf for about 34 years and I'm a scratch golfer. In these many years I have maybe found 2-3 fairway woods that I have liked, and not hit 20 yard hooks with or (trusted#. I have been desperately been in search of a another 3 wood to replace my 07 #un-named branded) which was the best and only 3 wood that I have trusted in the past 12 years. About a week ago I had my mind made up on the brand and head that I was going to purchase, and while I was waiting for my blades to get the loft and lie adjusted I decided to hit the Callaway X2 Hot Pro for the heck of it. I had zero expectations of this club, and thought it would be the usual Callaway hook machine of past that I have hit or owned. Well to my pleasant surprise this club felt INCREDIBLE, and had an amazing launch and feel to it. It was loooooong, soft, responsive, and launched the perfect height for me, and most important, it hit the ball straight, and most of the time had a 2-5 yard fade to it. I was sold immediately and purchased one on the spot. Took it out today after receiving my custom ordered model through Callaway direct, and all I can is wow! Made birdie on the very first hole that I used it on and it solidified itself in my bag from there forward. The ball just explodes off the fact, and with the Aldila Tour Green x-stiff shaft, it's an amazing feeling combo. Super smooth, forgiving, long and point and shoot precision. I can actually work the ball both directions on command, and most importantly, my standard shot with it is a simple little 3-5 yard fade. I couldn't be happier with this club, and most importantly, it's the BEST 3-wood I have EVER hit. Period! Callaway is on to something lately, and I just purchased a set of the Apex Pro irons too.. Amazing... This coming from a diehard Titleist guy of the past 15 years...

Its sneaky long
love this 3 metal... You dont expect to hit a fwy metal as far as this thing goes. I recently played it for the first time and was surprised when I let loose on this club from 276 out on a long par 5 and flew it flag high. I thought I could get it there but would have to rely on landing it short and running it up. The ball came in bounced once and checked up rolling out to about 45 feet from the flag stick. There was no wind and the conditions were normal for Arizona this time of year. I used it off the tee on a couple of shorter par 4s and the club is accurate and long and very friendly to play. Great Job Callaway!

These took 10 year old woods out of my bag
I've had the same fairway woods for 10 years. Hit them well, but also loved the way they looked. I knew it was time for an upgrade and I came dangerously close to buying the ping i25's... until I hit these. Ordered the 15* and 19* that day and hit them today for the first time. The ball absolutely jumps off the face, and goes exactly where you want it too. Gained distance and accuracy. The look of the club also gives you tons of confidence for a clean strike. Very happy with these.

The 3 wood is the trickiest club to get right.
I have been using the same 3 wood for over 5 years and decided to look at the new offerings this year. I had looked at the X Hot last year and almost purchased the 3 wood but could not justify the new club. This year I tested the 3 wood pro model and fell in love with this club. Ordered directly from Callaway with a custom shaft and grip and found with a smooth swing this is the longest 3 wood I have ever used, tried or seen in play. I now have a driver that I only use 2 to 3 times a round now. Great 3 wood, great club.

Prior to this I used a Titleist 910fd in 15*. I bought the X2Hot Pro in the 4wood 17* version. It is a killer! Insane distance and feel, rips off the tee, and is moderately forgiving. The black bottom can get scuffed fairly easily but who cares, it doesn't make a difference when you smoke the ball. The small head of the pro model looks intimidating at first but that all goes away once you crush the ball.

Great fairway wood
After trying a number of the latest 3 woods, all of which I had to fight from over drawing to the left...I found this one. The setup is perfect. I know I can take a full swing without having to try to open the face. The ball can easily be worked right or left. It's as long as any of the others I tried. If your looking for a club that sets up square and you can work the bal with...this is it.

Great service too from Callaway Pre-owned. Very happy with the purchase, just need to find more time to play golf rather than work!

I now have my third XHot 3 wood this season. Previously, I had been reluctant to play fairway woods due to my ability to hit my long irons well. After reading about the Callaway product line, I purchased the Big Bertha Alpha Driver. I also decided to test the XHot 3 wood (13.5 degree) stiff to use off the tee when my Driver would have been too much club.
After a month of testing and comparing, I decided to purchase the XHot wood. The club performed well until three weeks later while on the range, the clubface split and was pushed in with the impact of the ball. My ego was doing back flips because I had never seen or heard of anyone "smashing in" the clubface while hitting a ball in the sweet spot of the clubface.
I returned the club and was issued (from Callaway) an upgraded club with a better shaft. I was sent an XHot2 with a green tour still shaft (Thank you). Excellent set up. Played very well, club performed great until two weeks ago when the clubface cracked and splintered.
With my ego in check, I now felt disappointment because I realized the product is defective. One clubface smashed, oh well. Two clubfaces smashed in one summer, not good. I just received my replacement club. Not confident it will make it through the summer.
