XR 16 Pro Fairway Woods is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great review I read that this club was one of the best for 2016 and boy did it not disappoint. My very first swing was on the course due to not having time to hit the range, ball came off crisp and flew further than the wood I just replaced. So far so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great fairway wood I just got the XR Pro 18 degree and love it. It has a great compact head and feels great when I hit it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great compromise between 3 and 5 wood I wanted to find a mid-ground fairway wood between my 3 wood and 5 wood so I could start carryng 4 wedges. The 16* XR Pro was perfect. The lower CG combined with the Fujikura shaft results ina mid-trajectory shot that is almsot the same as my old 3 wood. It also dgives me the capability to launch high when played slightly forward in my stance. I love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great head, poor shaft. I briefly owned this club in 14* but went back to an X2 Hot Pro. The made-for stock speeder plays very soft and the no up charge shaft options are very limited, especially in the 70g + range. Also, I would prefer traditional 15* & 19* lofts, the 14, 16, 18 thing is irritating, even more so in a "Pro" model. People playing these are more likely to have a 23 or 24* 4 Iron like the Apex Pro than the jacked lofts of the XR series. A 19* 5 Wood flows perfectly into my 23* Apex hybrid and then my irons, 18* I feel is too much of a gap. I am on my 2nd X2 Hot pro, and if things don't change with your next release I may have to buy another one next year. If you refuse to fix the lofts, maybe release an Apex fairway line. Fixed hosel, traditional lofts, full assortment of shafts. I would pay an extra $50 for that if you need to charge more, but I am a Callaway fan and would like to be able to continue playing your fairway woods. BTW I also tried the 816 Alpha 14 and 18 adjusted to 15 and 19. Still prefer the X2 Hot. On the alpha the sound and feel were not as good as previous models. I do not need move able weights or an adjustable hosel on a fairway wood, just standard lofts. That said the XR16 Pro is longer than my X2, as it should be with the stronger loft. It is also much more forgiving, but the face is too tall and it looks odd behind the ball. All in all I belive Callaway with your fairway wood tech and the XR Pro line or an Apex line has what it takes to destroy your competitors, but this release missed the mark for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 3 Wood I've Ever Hit ! I always had a tough time with launching 3 woods too high and spinning them too much. I was typically getting upwards of 18 degrees of launch and 4500 rpms of spin (250 yards total) which were both too much and killed my distance. I was in the golf store testing out 3 woods and happened to see a lefty XR16 Pro demo in the corner of a demo rack. I thought I might as well add it to the 14 others that I had hit that failed to provide what I was looking for. I was pleasantly proven wrong. The first strike I knew that I had found a winner when I saw that my launch was 15 degrees and spinning at 2000 rpms. My swingspeed with the club was 108 mph and that equated into 269 yards of carry and 298 total. I was so shocked that I cycled through all of the other 3 woods that I had already hit and then came back to the XR16 Pro. It wasn't a fluke. The club, in conjunction with the speeder shaft were perfect for me. I immediately ordered the club and the on course results were exactly as the launch monitor session performance. The feel off the face is fantastic and hot and I love the look of the club and it gives me the ultimate confidence standing over shot. The shaft feels very smooth and lively and not boardy as I prefer to feel the shaft flex during the shot even though I am a high swing speed player. The trajectory for me is a powerful, flat, low spinning, and piercing trajectory that performs well even in windy conditions. I never pay full retail for golf clubs as I am a patient shopper, however this is one of those game changer clubs for me and so I spent the extra money to put it in play immediately. This was after I found out that they couldn't sell me the demo club !! Great great club....my search is over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, solid, long fairway wood. Small head might drive off some, but don't let it. These woods are hot and easy to hit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great club. Shaft is the problem. I switched from the X Hot Pro 4 wood (17*) with a Matrix Black Ties 7M3 (Stiff) shaft, to the XR Pro 4 wood (16*) with the stock Fujikura Speeder Evolution II TS 765 (Stiff). Love the head. Looks great at address, face feels great, and is very easy to hit. The only problem was that I needed to tip the shaft 1/2 inch to bring the stiffness up to how my old X Hot Pro played. Once I did that I got explosive distance and it became really easy to shape any shot from a sweeping draw to a power cut without over drawing or slicing.
