GBB Epic Sub Zero Fairway Woods is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Callaway did it again!!! I switched to using Callaway fairways a few years ago when the X2 Hot Pro line came out. I hit that 3 wood and was instantly sold on the way it felt, the ability to work it both directions, but mostly being fade bias, and the distance I was hitting it from the deck. I then purchased the GBB Alpha 816 16* and liked it, but felt I did lose some distance over the X2 Hot line, but enjoyed the adjustability of it. Fast forward to the EPIC line. I purchased the Sub Z when it came out and it's by far the best driver I've ever owned in 38 years of playing, so I naturally looked into the SZ fairways. I didn't have a lot of interest at first, but decided to buy the head only from one of my sources since I didn't need the whole club due to the many aftermarket shafts I own, and had no interest in the lack luster stock shafts. I took it out to the course last week for the first time and after hitting the very first practice ball with it, I was in shock. The feel, was absolutely amazing, like an old persimmon wood. It launched with the perfect height, and went forever. It instantly kicked my gamer 816 Alpha out of the bag. Took it on the course and it got even better. I hit it off the tee twice on a very short par 4 (352 yds) with a pinched fairway, and I ended up with only 64 yards left. I was literally 40+ yards past my playing partner who is normally very close to me in distance. Then I actually went over the green with it on a par 5 that was 545 yards long, and I had 243 yards to the pin, and ended up in the back bunker. I've never reached that green in 2 over the years, but with my EPIC SZ driver and EPIC SZ fairway, I was able to go 22 yards longer than the pin. WOW.. I would say that this club is for the better player who is able to control his ball, and isn't afraid of the very small head (which I love). It's even better then my past X2 Hot, and that was the best prior for me. Bottom line is this, if you are looking for a 3 wood that looks great, feels AMAZING, launches med-high, perfect from the deck, accurate, workable, and is very loooooong, then look no further. This is just like it's big brother "for me" in the sense that it is the best fairway that I have ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic This 3 wood is hot! You can hit it long, and it is easy to shape shots with it. Callaway hit a home run with this club

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Distance and forgiveness Yep, the Sub-Zero does both, which is pretty special. I gave average marks for value only because these things are expensive. They are very pretty but I expect the crown to mar pretty easily, hence the average on durability. They are well-made, don't get me wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 3-wood I've ever owned, and I've had several! Fits my eye, sets up beautifully, great sound and feel at impact, can hit it high or low with draw or fade, and best of all goes 10-15 yards further. Thanks Callaway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just two rounds, still breaking it in but I like what I see This is an easy club to hit and the ball flight and pop off the face are magical to the point where you just line up and swing and adios. 3 woods have always been the hardest club for to get comfortable with, visually, but as an accomplished player I am flat out hammering the sub zero version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel and ball flight Purchased to replace my Alpha 3w (that ai turned into a 5w). Really liked the feel and the Hzdrus shaft that matches my Epic driver. Slightly different weight than my Alpha (I had lighter sole weights). First shot I hit was a bullet and went further and straighter than my Alpha used to. Go get it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great driving wood Only played a few rounds and still a little cooler out up north, but getting used to it and great from when I've hit it. I have the stronger 3 wood 13.5 degrees so it was hard to hit of fairway but put the setting at 14.5 and wow the ball jumps off the club more of a missle not the high towering thing, so I expect in summer for this to run like crazy, overall great club just a little on the pricey side like most Callaway stuff, but overall very good club so far
