New Apex Hybrids Are On Fire

The new Apex Hybrids had an unbelievable first month on Tour, with big wins and a number of big name players putting the new hybrid in to play. In its very first week at the Shriners Open, Apex was the #1 Callaway Hybrid and last week it was the #1 Hybrid (period) at the star-studded BMW
Apex Hybrids is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for better players I have Big Bertha 3 and 4 hybrids which are easy to hit, but they require a different swing than my irons-more like my woods. Like others have mentioned, you can't really step on many hybrids without getting a sever hook. Plus I can not figure out how to curve them low-or for that matter curve them at all. So, I have stubbornly keep my 5 iron, which I don't hit all that well unless teed up, but can use for those low or low and curving shots. I got the apex 5 hybrid after trying a friend's. It is much closer to a iron than a wood. Way more consistent than my 5 iron, unfortunately way longer, but that is another problem, plus when I want, I can change the trajectory or shot shape just like my iron. Just what I was looking for. But here is the thing that surprised me and why these should not be overlooked by average players. It is very easy to hit. Mine is a lot easier to hit than a long iron. Also since I struggle to avoid hooking my Big Bertha's, easier to hit than them. So don't just pass them by because they are marketed to "better players". Give them a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from long Always been a long iron player but as I got older my swing has changed. So to help my ever changing swing I began to playy hybrids. The trouble I had was finding the right one, too many looked like fairway woods or were game improvement which would cause me to hook the ball. Then I went to a callaway demo day and found the apex hybrid. Now I have the confidence to take full swings and not have to worry about the dreaded hooks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very controllable I have been playing the 3h and 4h for a couple of months now. Went with the stiff flex for the extra control. This is the first hybrid I have ever played which was not a hook machine. The club is very workable high, low, left and right. For the first time I feel like I can release the club without worries of the left to left miss. Best hybrid I have ever played.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Callaway Apex Hybrid The Callaway Apex hybrid is the best hybrid I have ever hit and I've tried every hybrid on the market. Most hybrids are set up for a draw bias and the Apex is set up with a square face and much easier to work ball from right to left or left to right with very good distance. I would highly recommend the Apex Hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hybrid My problem with hybrids is that they want to go left. This had little to no draw bias. Easily jumps up in the air. Great for tee shots on tight holes. I had an older 17 degree Nickent hybrid that I've been using for years and have finally found its replacement. I love the look of this club, it has a much smaller head. I tried the XR hybrids but they looked a little too large when sitting behind the ball. I had to almost adjust my swing to stop them from going left. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hybrid I have hit. Have off & on trouble hitting hybrids straight. I used several models of different brands. Most all seam to set up with a very closed face or with what looks like offset. Bought a used Apex 3 / 20 degree as a possible solution to my X2Hot 4 / 22 degree. Sure enough no more fades or slices. Ball flight is great and it only goes straight! Love the smaller head, flatter face surface and weighting is perfect for my less experienced senior swing. When I can feel I'm in the slot I can really go after it and hit it nearly as far as my driver. Considering the 2 & 4 now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for mid hcps too Although marketed as a players club, I, a 15 handicap find that this club suits my steeper swing plane. I consistently hook larger head hybrids and find these much easier to hit straight. Great feel and distance too--I think the 3 Apex wants my 5 wood's job. Absolutely love these clubs. Just swing em like an iron!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and straight Bought a three hybrid and this club was immediately a game changer. Very long and very straight. No longer need a three wood in my bag.
