Steelhead XR Irons is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Callaway XR Pro Ordered new XR Pro Steelheads standard lies and loft. When received had them checked and every iron spec was off. The 5, 6 and 7 iron was 2 degrees upright. PW was 2 degrees weak. Basicly every iron was not standard specs. Quality coming from factory is terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now what do I do with my bag from another brand? I have been playing my 2002 Bertha irons for 15 years and just love them but I was curious about a new set because... well they are 15 years old. Last summer I bought another brand's Driver, 3, 5 and 3 Hybrid as well as their putter and just love them so I was so convinced I was also buying their irons that I bought their bag over the winter. Yesterday I went in to the PGA Tour Superstore because they had a demo day of the brand. I was early so I met with Greg, a store fitter and told him what I was looking for in irons. He commented that he would gladly let me hit those clubs but I should "just try" the Steelheads. 1. I thought because I am getting older that I should consider graphite shafts and he convinced me that my ball flight was so high that I needed steel shafts saving me a bunch of dough. 2. When I hit the Steelheads, OMG I was easily 10 yards longer. I tried working the ball, I hit some off center shots (not that I can do that on demand...) and consistently, my worst shot with the Steelheads was at least on par with my best shots from the other brand. Needless to say I bought the Steelheads and can't wait for them to get here to get them out on the course. Thanks Callaway and sorry I strayed a bit! I am coming home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Callaway iron yet ! I upgraded to Steel head XR irons from XR's. I loved the XR's but the Steel head XR's are incredible! I got the UST Recoil shafts. The ball jumps off the face with some sizzle! I picked up 10 yards over the XRs and much more accurate shots. I'm 62 now and can easily hit the 8 150-155 yards with a much more controlled swing. Love these irons !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They replaced my old '04 Steelheads and are even better! Love these clubs. Great feel, very forgiving even though I'm never very far off center on my strikes. I've gained back some distance due to stronger lofts and recent lessons from a PGA pro. Got the 4H, 5H and 6 - Gap wedge. Just got the 58 degree Sure Out wedge to replace my Vokey wedge and loving all my new clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from little expensive but great clubs played few rounds with them and I really like the feel of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't be disappointed It has taken me a few rounds to get distance figured out as they are a club longer with each iron. Forgiving on miss hits with great feed back. I have played Callaway irons since I can remember and all of them have performed to my satisfaction. These are the best looking of all the sets I've had

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good irons, very long and very forgiving. I had CF-16's which were excellent but the Steelhead XR are a little more forgiving and a half club longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These irons are easy to hit and feel extremely solid. They seem to fly about 10 yards further than the Apex irons I was hitting before. I was in some forged Apex irons before that were wonderful irons, but just really beyond my game. I would say that these irons are built for all handicaps, but anywhere from 6-20 should give these a look. Get fitted, I ordered them one degree flat and they are great!!
