Steelhead XR Pro Irons is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great irons but the finish won't last I have a combo set of Steelhead XR Pros and SH XRs and I can't believe how bad and fast the black finish has chipped/worn on the Pros from bag chatter and range use--poor quality Callaway. I don't see enough difference between the Pros and regular XRs so save some frustration and go with regular Steelhead XRs--they wear great. Bottom line--don't buy black clubs. My Callaway hybrids are the same

Rated 5 out of 5 by from steelhead xr pro irons both a players club and game improvement Was looking for a minimally offset players club with game improvement features (a little longer blade length). Nothing else came close. I never owned the original steelhead irons that came out in the early 2000s but I was always intrigued by them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel off the strike Love these sticks. Only issue is that the number identifier on the irons are hard to make out due to being black on a dark charcoal head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Solid irons. Ball flies off the face. Great look. Traded in my Apex irons for these and I've got zero regrets. Way easier clubs to figure out. I've only played 3 rounds so far, but I can't wait to go play again. These things are sweet! Oh, I've been playing forged irons for years. These are just as good. Technology has made the line between forged and cast pretty blurry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet! I recently started playing golf after a break of almost 20 years so there are still plenty of rough spots in my swing. After trying the Callaway Steelhead Pro irons at a Demo Day, I ordered a set with graphite shafts (largely to reduce vibration). I like the dark finish as it reduces glare from the sun and improves the look of the clubs at setup. I am hitting the ball great with the clubs and am very happy with them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful looking clubs- make one feel confident at address. 1. Very good looking clubs 2. Enjoy the ball flight but not convinced they are any longer than my ping i series 3. disapointed that the clubs scuff so easiliy - losing their gunmetal shine 4. probably would have held off on the purchase until I had a chance to compare with the Epic Pro irons that have just been launched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suprised! I was looking for a little more forgiveness over my current Apex Irons, (plus I wore them out). Went with the Steelhead Pro and have not been sorry at all. Yes it is a cast club that is still workable and with great feedback. GREAT IRON

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rare reviewer!! Being a PGA professional and a college golf coach, I very rarely post any reviews for clubs, etc... I'm not Callaway staff either. I bought the new XR Pro and a set of Miz. JPX 900 Forged to move toward a more forgiving iron. I played Miz all through college and had a good idea as to what I would get in the JPX. I've NEVER owned a Callaway iron. Never liked the offset and top line much. Until now!!! While the JPX forged is a very nice iron, the XR Pro fit my eye better and performed better through my testing. XR Pro has less offset, cleaner lines (which I think the black color helps this a bit), better trajectory and played close to 1/2 a club longer than the Miz. Same set up, same lofts.....BUT the XR Pro is hands-down a better club. I will say the Miz feels a little "softer", as expected. However, the Callaway is better in every other regard. Absolutely fantastic clubs that pro's to 15 handicaps could play, without a doubt. FANTASTIC JOB CALLAWAY!!!!!
