    Apex Utility Irons

The Apex Utility Irons have loaded up on technology to deliver forged precision with performance, playability and forgiveness for a great alternative to hybrids or long irons.

    From $229.99

    Features + Details

    Forged Face Cup Design

This is some serious speed technology that we’re putting into utility irons. The Carpenter 455 Forged Face Cup helps create higher ball speeds all across the face to get the distance you’re looking for. This is the same face cup technology used in our fairway woods and hybrids to help the face flex more consistently across a larger area.

    Sole Weighting

Here’s where some of that “hard-to-believe” forgiveness comes from. The sole weighting lowers the CG so that these utility irons are easier to hit and easier to launch.

    Hollow Body Construction

The Hollow Body increases forgiveness in a traditional long iron shape to help you feel confident over every shot with these clubs.

    Premium Shaft Offerings

They come standard in a KBS Tour-V or UST Recoil 680 F4 Shaft. We also have additional offerings at no extra charge for you to choose.

Apex UT 18 Degree. Game changer! Love this club. I have always had trouble keeping my driver, 3 wood and hybrid in play off the tee. To the point where I started hitting 4 iron but didn't like giving up the distance. With this club I took the 3 wood and Hybrid out of the bag. I've played 4 rounds with the APex UT 18, its incredible. I'm hitting long drives with a slight draw 250yds. Even balls that I feel I mishit are going 220yds. My playing partners think I should hit it over my driver because of the accuracy and I'm starting to feel the same way. I can crush my driver 280-300, but it is hit or miss on any given day or swing. And some days can get ugly. The Apex UT has been a big hit every round I have used it so far. If I had any gripe it would be the weight on the bottom, not sure if it is adjustable or what it is used for but it collects a lot of dirt. But the way I hit this club I'll happily clean it after my drive flies down the middle of the fairway. December 6, 2014
An Instant Classic! This club is absolutely EPIC. I got it with a PXI 5.5, and the feel is absolutely unreal. It has a smooth, soft and hollow feel when you hit right on the sweet spot. The sound is great and is a soft metal/tinny sort of sound, but not in a bad way at all like a tinny sound normally is. It is a very smooth and hollow sound that matches the feel. It has a nice mid-high ball flight and man oh man is it HOT. The ball absolutely rockets off the face, and the sole is big enough that this club can work from the just about any lie OR be great as a driving iron. I was hitting it 5 yards further and was working the ball way more with this than the 4 hybrid it has now replaced. The only con so far is how it wears, it is definitely a very soft metal that is used and it shows scratches, ball marks and grass marks pretty easily. Either keep this club in a cover or just accept the fact it is going to look like a beat up utility club. It's so beautiful I was having a hard time going all out with it. It is a small gripe. This golf club is an instant classic and belongs in the bag of ANYONE who wants an amazing utility club. The forged feal is perfect. If my 3 hybrid wasn't so awesome I would be getting the 3 utility to go with my 4. GET THIS CLUB!!! September 18, 2014
Perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this club. I wanted to replace my 3-iron with something more forgiving, higher launching, and that would add some distance. I played one round with my 21 degree and all the long par 3's (210-230) that I struggled with at my local course in the past I went par, birdie, birdie, par. I was amazed at how forgiving this club is because I missed one shot low on the face and I caught one a little heavy, yet I was still on the putting surface. I would say my intended yardage was off by no less than 5 yards. After that round I came home and ordered the 24 degree. This is finally the club I have been searching for. It doesn't have that chunky look at address and it has the perfect amount of offset. I play S55's so I was concerned that the look at address would be uncomfortable, but it was nothing short of beautiful. The feel off the face on a flushed shot is unparalleled. If you are playing more tour oriented irons with more traditional lofts and have a bit of trouble with your 3 and 4 iron I would strongly suggest bagging these. They look awesome and perform even...awesomer, for lack of a better word. Thank you Callaway. May 1, 2015
Great option instead of hybrid. Easy to hit, good flight and feel. If you want to move away from your longest irons, but aren't thinking hybrid yet, this is your best option. Try and enjoy! January 3, 2016
Apex Utility 18 degree - better than any hybrid I am fortunate to be a member of a fantastic championship course that on the ocean. Very windy and challenging. I bought an APEX UT 18 as the hybrids just don't cut it in the wind. Suffice to say the APEX UT is fantastic. Easy to swing, beautifully balanced with the "heavy head" & comes out like an absolute bullet. On very tight fairways I have now taken to using this over my Driver off the tee. Might give up a few yards, but the precision of this club means that Fairway in Regulation / Greens in Regulation stats are improved on those tough holes. I have now ordered a 24 degree, and the hybrid is headed for EBAY. November 9, 2014
Easier to hit than expected I can hit this club off the fairway than a 3 wood most of the time. Wonderful suprise and may order the 19 degree. February 24, 2016
Long and straght I bought this club (21 degree) to replace a broken 4 iron, which I was suing off the tee. This club gloe almost as far a my driver and my misses are still playable. January 6, 2016
Great iron for low handicappers I liked the 18 degree Iron so much that I just ordered the 21 degree. They will replace my hybrids. Great club that you can do a lot with it. I can hit it about 250 yards off the tee which is very handy on tight fairways March 13, 2016
