X Utility Prototype Irons
Great Utility Iron
This utility iron is great from the rough and tight lies. I really recommend this to the lower handicapper as it is hard to hit but somewhat forgiving on mishits. I bought this club because I didn't like the big heads of hybrids but I wanted something more versatile and this club does the job. The weight in the sole is a really key factor to. I had to search around for more weights for purchase since Callaway does not sell them direct. The grind on the sole is also helpful from the rough. The standard graphite shaft is really nice but more options would be better. This is a great hybrid iron!

I like the look and feel of the club.
While still trying to figure out how to hit the club, when I do set up properly and make a good swing, it feels great. Even the misses are not that bad. Overall a good investment.

Great club with a good swing
As a 22 handicapper, this club plays well with a swing in the sweet spot. My first fairway swing to reach the green from 243 yards on a par 5 did the job. However, there is no forgiveness for miss hits. I love this club despite that fact. Recommend for those looking for options for woods and hybrids.

Great addition to the bag
I have been wanting to put these utility irons in the bag for quite some time now and I have finally done it!
I added the 3 and 4 irons to replace my Razr X MB long irons and I am glad I made the switch. Having the weight low and back from the face promotes a higher ball flight, however it doesn't mean that you can't work the ball and flight it if you have to. I play in Texas and there more times where I have to be able to flight the ball down and with these I get exactly that but with the addition of a higher launch if I need it.
Don't be afraid to play these utility clubs, they are very workable and have great feel. The PXI shaft matches up nicely with this head too, it can give a nice natural high flight (no ballooning) and still get the distance you're used to with normal irons.
I plan on adding the 2 iron when I need to get the ball on the grass quicker with the coastal winds I'll be playing in.

tried the 18 and 21 degree on the range today, i normally play a 2 iron but the 18 degree will be replacing it, can work it both ways easily, lots of confidence looking down at it and it feels great. im pretty excited, hopefully this isnt just the honeymoon phase. only bummer is the sun reflection off the back part right into your eye if the sun is in the wrong spot. maybe ill put a peice of tape on that spot or paint in black.

I finally found a club to fill the yardage gap between my 3w and 3i. I didnt want to add a 5w and I have a tendency to hook hybrids so this club was perfect for my needs. It hits like a long iron but has the benefits of a hybrid. It is easy to work both ways and hit high or low. I ended up hitting it 4 times during during its first round in the bag and hit all 4 fairways with it off of the tee. It cant get any better!

Great club launches the ball a mile. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great club for those who don't like hybrid woods
I struggle to hit hybrids but hit my long irons well. This is a great alternative.
