Features + Details

Deep Central Undercut

The new Deep Central Undercut increases the rate the face flexes and rebounds. So it increases ball speeds to make these irons even longer. And golfers seem to like that.

Stabilizing Arch

The exceptional sound and feel at high ball speeds come from a stabilizing arch that reinforces the face. You probably wouldn’t expect to get those things in a distance iron, but our R&D Team outdid themselves. Again.

Perimeter Weighting

If you like higher launch angles, more distance, stopping power on the greens and a bigger sweet spot, we developed the perimeter weighting with you in mind. What can we say; we like to give you what you want.

Lightweight Shaft Options

Lightweight Speed Step 85 – Steel shaft available in regular and stiff flexes

New lightweight Callaway Ultralite graphite shaft – More feel and control while increasing launch angles

2014 Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal

“This is more than a mere follow up to the X Hot. This is a fresh approach to iron design for Callaway where the game-improvement features are hidden in a more pleasing shape.” - Golf Digest

Top notch all around! So long story short I have been using ping i3s for the last 4 years. They are well worn out so for 2014 season decided to see what other irons on the market had to offer. I found this to be overwhelming to say the least. So went into my local pro shop to talk to someone about my indecisive conclusion I kept arriving at. The man was very helpful and picked out a couple. Ping, nike, taylormade, titleist, callaway. I hit a dozen irons or so. About mid way through I hit the x2 hot and my god. I couldn't miss. The whole time I would hit one and then go back to the X2. Same story. Easy to hit. Forgiving. The real deal. I always stuck with ping but callaway... you just made a new customer/fan. Way to go with these irons. January 18, 2014
Easy to hit, extra long, extra forgiving, accurate, great feel. I purchased the graphite shafts, regular flex, A wedge thru 4 iron. These are the best irons I have ever played, I hit the pitching wedge further than I hit my old 8 iron, more accurately and with a higher ball flight. I can spin the ball and stop it on the green, the touch and feel of these clubs are great. If you want to improve your game and lower your handicap, I would highly recommend you try these irons. These irons stand strong to all the hype on TV. Received my irons on first release date and just had to play them even in the snow and ice in Colorado. Couldn't put a tee in the ground so used either w/o a tee or used a small pile of snow. Well I am going to have to reevaluate all my club distances. First swing of pitching wedge I got 20 more yards and then a tap in bird due to the distance I received w the X2 Hot irons.. Looking forward to playing more soon summer and dailing these in for a great year. January 23, 2014
Yes I own the 24hot x irons and just bought the new x2 hot irons and these irons are the best irons that callaway made in the x hot irons I ame hitting the ball two clubs longer the new shaft is awsome and the ball is jumping of the head of the clubs I would recamend this set of irons from Greg January 19, 2014
great irons long and solid 10 yards longer than my old irons great stock steel shaft callaway got this one right you can't go wrong with these great irons April 3, 2014
Great irons I preordered the X2hot irons during my extensive club fitting because they were cheaper than the Xhot irons I had tested with. I've now had them 5 days and I am very satisfied. Even when I miss-hit the ball, it goes straight down the line. I also find I'm hitting a club father than my previous clubs. I'm looking forward to using them during a round once the weather gets warmer. January 21, 2014
