Match Play Update: Colsaerts Cruises To Round of 16

Jeff Newton

Callaway staffer Nicolas Colsaerts looks like the favorite right now at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship after two decisive wins in his first two matches. Colsaerts controlled his opening match with an impressive 5&4 win and followed that up with a strong 4&2 victory on Friday. The 2012 Ryder Cup star is now guaranteed a top-10 finish as he looks to pick up his first PGA Tour win.

Meanwhile, Fredrik Jacobson jumped out to a 3-up lead through eight holes in his second round match. Freddy is playing a HEX Black Tour Ball and an Odyssey Versa #7 Black/White/Black Putter. With a second round win, the Callaway staffer would post his third straight top-10 finish in just his fourth start of the year.

Alex Noren (RAZR Fit Xtreme Driver, X Hot Pro 3-wood, X Forged Irons) and Jim Furyk (X Hot Driver) also won their opening round matches.
