RAZR Fit Adds To Incredible Season With LPGA Win
The RAZR Fit Driver picked up yet another big win on Sunday with an LPGA Tour victory at the CME Group Titleholders. The driver earned a two-shot win at the season-ending event, which featured an elite field and one of the biggest LPGA purses this season. As it’s done all year, RAZR Fit delivered under pressure and went home with a big trophy to add to the collection.
It’s hard to squeeze in all of RAZR Fit’s accolades this year but let’s give it a try, shall we? In January, the driver earned an Editor’s Choice in the 2012 Golf Digest Hot List, where it received a 5-star score in the Performance, Innovation and Look/Sound/Feel categories. No big deal or anything.
Then in February, our pal Phil Mickelson used a RAZR Fit to shoot a final round 64 and win by three shots at Pebble Beach. Very cool. And after victories for RAZR Fit at the Kraft Nabisco Championship and U.S. Women’s Open, Ernie Els played the driver during his win at the Open Championship. Sweet!
So to briefly recap, RAZR Fit has now taken home 11 worldwide Tour wins and three major championships this season. Those are just silly numbers and it certainly helps when the world’s best players like Lefty, the Big Easy and Jim Furyk put this bad boy in play. We’re proud of what RAZR Fit has done on Tour, and it makes us all the more excited to see what RAZR Fit Xtreme can do in 2013.
Odyssey Cruises To The Winner’s Circle At Dunlop Phoenix
It was a drama-free final round at the Dunlop Phoenix as an Odyssey White Hot XG #7 rolled in birdie putts and capped off a five-shot win. The White Hot XG model was never seriously challenged over the final 18 holes and the back nine served as more of a victory lap. The #1 Putter in Golf leads all putter brands with 54 wins across the major worldwide Tours this year. For more information on all of Odyssey’s wins, please visit their wins archive page.
RAZR X Tour Irons Win In South Africa
RAZR X Tour Irons took control at the SA Open Championship on the way to a three-shot victory. Callaway Irons now lead all irons brands with 11 European Tour wins this season. RAZR X Muscleback Irons and RAZR X Forged Irons have also been key contributors to this stellar win count. What can we say; it’s been a great year.
Quiros and Jones Post High Finishes In Japan
Callaway staffers Brendan Jones and Alvaro Quiros both enjoyed strong weeks at the Dunlop Phoenix, where they finished T4 and T6, respectively. With the high finish, Jones now has six top-10s on the year and sits in third place on the current Japanese Tour money list. The guy’s a player and he might have the inside edge on the Tour’s Player of the Year award. Meanwhile, Quiros continues to bust out the big drives wherever he tees it up.
RAZR Fit Tweaked Before LPGA Win
Our Tour sources report that the weight distribution was adjusted on the RAZR Fit Driver that won on Sunday at the CME Group Titleholders. These sources tell us that just a few grams were moved to the heel in the 8.5° model, and as we saw the adjustment paid off with a victory. By the way, do you like how we’re throwing out “these sources” like it’s “All The President’s Men” or something? We give you all the big news here at the Callaway Tour Blog.
