Warren Scores 1st Tour Win For Big Bertha V Series – 3 Things To Know

Jeff Newton

The Big Bertha V Series Driver wasted little time in picking up its 1st Tour win. Just a few weeks after the driver was introduced at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Callaway staffer Marc Warren used his 9-degree gamer in his European Tour victory at the Made in Denmark.

Here’s a look at V Series, Warren’s win, and the Apex Utility Irons as part of the 3 things you need to know from last weekend:

1. Marc Warren WITB – Made In Denmark

Let’s take a look at some of the key clubs in his winning bag:

Big Bertha V Series Driver (9-degree)

Big Bertha Fairway Wood (16-degree)

X Forged ’13 Irons (4-9)

Odyssey Prototype iX #1 Putter

A Callaway SR 3 Golf Ball

The 1st win for Big Bertha V Series in such as short time frame is obviously huge news for us. The driver has been very popular with our Tour Pros, as guys like Harris English, Pat Perez and Patrick Reed have put it in play.

Our Callaway Tour Rep, Mike Sposa has said that Staff Pros have been excited when talking about the ball speed and forgiveness they’ve been getting. “Their carry distance is higher and they like that it’s a forgiving, long driver,” Sposa told us.

It was a great way to start the Sunday morning. Congratulations to Marc on the victory for #TeamCallaway.

2. SR Golf Balls Now at 11 Tour Wins, 3 Majors This Year

The SR Golf Balls were always going to be prolific on Tour with their aerodynamics fit to individual player’s swing speeds, and the numbers have continued to blow us away. So far this year, our SR lineup has earned 11 victories across the major worldwide Tours, including 3 major victories in 2014. Wow! Those numbers are impossible to ignore, and you can learn more about these golf balls here.

3. New Apex Utility Irons Going Into Play

We launced the beautiful new Apex Utility Irons on Friday, and we’re pleased to tell you that they’re already in play on the PGA Tour. Several players used them last week at the Wyndham Championship, including Danny Lee.

These clubs are designed with a Carpenter 455 Forged Face Cup for higher ball speeds all across the face, and they give golfers performance, playability, and a lot of forgiveness. You can find out all the big details on Apex Utility in our new Callaway Talks, and see them up close on this gallery page.

Have a great week everyone!
