Alvaro grew up in a small house near the gates of Valderrama Golf Club, on Spain’s Costa del Sol. His father is a gardener and his mother a housekeeper. In 2004, he turned pro after a fantastic record in the Biarritz Cup. In 2007, Alvaro won the Alfred Dunhill Championship, becoming the youngest golfer to win a European competition. Alvaro has been consistent on the European Tour with 7 career wins.
