Louise Rydqvist is a rising Swedish professional golfer known for her standout amateur career and recent transition to the professional ranks.
Rydqvist represented Sweden on numerous teams, competed at events like the European Girls’ Team Championship and the Women’s Amateur Championship (where she was runner-up in 2022), and won the 2024 European Ladies’ Amateur Championship. That victory earned her a spot in the 2024 AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews, where she made the cut and finished tied for 60th in her major debut.
She played collegiate golf at the University of South Carolina, where she was a multiple All-American, earned academic honors with a double major in finance and marketing, and won collegiate tournaments including the Annika Intercollegiate and Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Rydqvist was also recognized with awards such as the Edith Cummings Munson Award for combining athletic and academic excellence.
After graduating in 2025, Rydqvist turned professional and debuted at the Swedish PGA Championship on the LET Access Series, with ambitions to compete on the LPGA Tour and beyond.
