Xander Schauffele grew up playing golf and excelled at Scripps Ranch High School, winning the 2011 California state individual title, then played college golf at Long Beach State and San Diego State University before turning professional in 2015.
Schauffele quickly made an impact on the PGA Tour, becoming the first rookie to win the Tour Championship and earning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors in 2017. He has since become one of the world’s top players, known for consistent major contention and strong all-around play.
He captured his first major championship in 2024 by winning the PGA Championship, setting a record for lowest 72-hole total in a major, and later that year won The Open Championship, making him the first player since 2018 to win multiple majors in a season.
Schauffele has also enjoyed success internationally, notably winning Olympic gold for the United States in golf at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Xander continues to be a fixture near the top of the Official World Golf Ranking.
